My Global Experiences

Language Proficiency: My native language is Spanish, as my family is originally from Venezuela. I have a home there and would visit often. 

Experience Abroad

Study Abroad 2019: Summer 2019 I had the opportunity to study abroad in Valencia, Spain where I had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on program that allowed me access to libraries, museums, monuments, and immerse myself completely in the culture. As a Venezuelan native, I was able to use my first language, Spanish, as well as English to write various papers that illustrated my writing skills in both languages. I was tasked to write papers about films we watched in class, and here I developed ideas and analyzed interesting concepts, which scored very well. With this, I was able to gain the knowledge, skills, and qualities necessary to engage responsibly and effectively in a global communications environment.

Spring Break 2020: I visited Europe on spring break 2020 (a week before they closed the country down). It was nice to visit and explore different places I had never been.
